01 Spyder Tranny Mount replacement
Has anyone replaced the transmission mount on a 2001 Spyder? Replies to my question about a wierd noise have led me to believe it's the mount that is making a squeeking noise that's driving me nuts.
I took out the battery and tray, removed the intake hoses and filter bucket, put a jack under the tranny to hold it in place and pulled most of the nuts off the mount. The problem is that some of the nuts pulled the bolts out also and some did not. Now there appears to be no way to pull the mount out because some of the bolts remained in the tranny housing the the bracket welded to the body prevent the mount from being removed.
If I could get the other bolts out it would be no problem. I've tried using the dual nut method but the nuts, when tightened together, don't line up where you can put your deep socket over both of them.
I'm stumped on what to do..... Any ideas?

RE: 01 Spyder Tranny Mount replacement
does your spyder have leather? reason I ask is I had a 02 spyder GT\PP and I had bad Motor mounts but never replaced them(I traded it in) and I had a squeek that was driving me nuts I ended up finding it was my drivers seat it made the noise if I moved a surtain way or hit a bump and for months I thought it was coming from the drivers front wheel
