Hello! I have a 02 Eclipse GS with 2.4l engine. I'm cutting straight to the point, I have an aftermarket catback exhaust system and it always pops after revving it 4-6k rpms, so I do it a lot.

One day I revved it once to about 6k rpms, i heard a pop, then seconds after it choked and died. Minutes after that, I'd try and start it, but it would only crank, not start. My friend pulled me to my apartment and the first thing i checked were spark plugs. I pulled them out and all 4 of them had a bit of oil on them, so I ordered new spark plugs, new spark plug well seals, and new valve gasket. I cleaned the spark plug wells, the valve cover, and the black connectors (forgot what they're called) that go down into the spark plug wells and are connected to the spark plugs. After putting everything back together, it cranks but still won't start.

Any ideas? I know it can be anything, such as timing belt/chain, no spark from transmitters, crank/cam sensors, no fuel, etc. But what should I check next? Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
