Default Radio Code Reset

After disconnecting the battery to replace a speaker, my radio needs a code. I got the code from the dealer. However, prior toobtaining the code I attempted to enter 3 possible (and wrong) codes. Now my radio reads "off." It's completely locked me out.

Does anyone know if disconnecting the battery a second time will allow me to enter the code that I now have? And if not, what do I need to do to reset the radio so that it will allow me to enter the correct code?

Thanks for your help!

Turn the ignition on (not to start but on), leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes and it should go back to code.
Then try entering your code again.
