Default Sunroof trouble

I have a 2004 gts and the sunroof keeps bucking/skipping. It only does it when I open it though. When shutting it It doesn't skip at all. I used some liquid spray lithium greese and it seems like its doing it more now. Any help or suggestions would help out alot

thanks

my evo did this when the screw holding the rear end of the motor fell out. when I pulled the head liner down and put a new screw in the roof still studdered when closing and I had to hold the open switch to get it to open. It fixed when I hit the flip up side. you know how when the roof is closed if you hit close one more time it flips the roof up without opening it.

That is all I did and all of a sudden the roof worked perfect again

hello!! there is a T.S.B out on the sunroof issue with that model ofeclipse. if i remember correctly you have to just about take it completely apart clean everything and install a specially formulated grease that mitsubishi came out with to lube the tracks and cables.www.mitchellondemand.com or www.alldata.com will access the info on that. the T.S.B will give you the part number for the tube of grease. it does work!! good luck!! greg...
