Angry 2012 Sport w/Navi & 40GigHD

I purchased a leftover 2011 Sport in January with Rockford Fosgate sound system and it has the RCA AUX jacks in the center console, works great. I bought a 2nd 2012 last month w/R/F sound system w/Navi and 40GigHD. When the mode button is pushed the screen lists AUX along with all of the other inputs but, there is no RCA plugs in the center console. I would like to use my MP3 player with an 1/8 plug to RCA cable to listen to my music. Mitsubishi customer service says AUX is not available in 2012. They have told me that I will have to buy a new MP3 player with bluetooth to listen to my music. I find this hard to believe. I'll bet there is an AUX input plug on the back of the unit and it just needs a cable installed like in my 2011. Does anyone know how to use the AUX function on this unit or know where the AUX input connection is? Page 8-11 of the instruction manual for the radio talks about using AUX but not where the connections are. Help!!

pop open the back cover to the center console. (in the back seat) do you see a set of wires and connector?

I just got a chance to pull the rear cover off. My wife has a 2011 we purchased a month earlier than the 2012. It has the RCA AUX connector in the center console. I am going to see if the wires are the same color ( I think that they will be ). If they are I will use her connector to see if mine works before I order a connector.
The wire harness is for the AUX and is just inserted into a dummy connector on the back of the rear cover.
Thank you for your post.
