Troubleshooting a rare 96 Montero SR.

It sat for a long time but cranked right up and ran. Then one day, no more running. Would just crank but not turn over.

My father assumed a fuel issue by the way it behaved and so we dug in. We replaced fuel filter and fuel pump. Checked tank for junk in it and cleaned it out.

We had a hard time accessing the ECM and fuel pump relay. IIRC the fuel pump relay did click and we were unable to get the ECM out. It is practically barricaded in there.

The next idea was fuel injectors. I got the Plenum off yesterday and the injectors. We tried cranking it to see if fuel came out of the main line and it did not. I am unsure if this was because the FPR and all was disconnected but is fuel suppose to travel through while cranking? Fuel did come out when I initially removed the fuel lines but not when we disconnected and tried cranking.

I also tried to check injector connector voltage to find out if the ECM is sending power or not. I kept getting no readings with the car in the on position. I placed each probe in a connector slot, was this correct?
