Default 2001 Galant leaking water onto passender floorboard! HELP!

hey guys, I have done a little research on here and cant find the answer.
my wifes car is leaking water onto passenger floorboard and has really saturated it in the past week. I got under there and removed the first thin plastic panel and it had accumulated alot of water. I notice that it is the AC unit under there and assume that the prob is related to such. The AC works perfectly. Also to note is that there is a weird sound coming from that area upon hard left turns and sounds as if freeon is leaking or something. as i attempted to remove another piece of the AC, it starting raining hard outside so i decided to jump on this forum for answers. anyone have this problem? any solutions? Thanks everyone John

Cool Same problem

I had the same problem in my 2003 Galant, turned out the drain line from the heater core area under the dash was clogged and full of water hence overflowing onto the passenger floor take most of the dash apart to get in there and unclog with compressed air and a coat hangar.

yes i strongly agree on the last post! usually when you have a heater core problem it usually dripps inside the vehicle... are u positive it is just water and not antifreeze?
