OK, I just purchased used a 2003 Montero Limited and 2 things i need to address are:
1) Power antenna retracted and extended just fine at purchase, but now motor runs to no avail.....dealer tells me i need a rod at $45.....is it going to be a hassle to change out?
2) rear tire is missing the center hub cover....have part and spring ordered to replace....any keys I should no about on this or is it common sense? I assume it cant be that difficult?

If the cable that pulls and pushes the antenna is broken you will have to pull the motor out and open the case to remove the broken piece. If you are not good with tools, I wouldnt try it. On the wheel cap, you just have to remove the tire and put the retainer on from the back side. If it is a Montero Sport, there is two different retainers, one for the front and one for the rear. one silver colored and one gold colored. Right on the tip of the retainer is a R or F hard to see.
