i recently installed a Prestige remote lock kit on my friends 98 eclipse gs. it worked fine the night i put it in, and the morning after, but then it started acting up like when we pressed the lock button on the remote the noise would happen but the lock would not lock or unlock. now the lock butoon on the door does not work. when we press lock on the door it makes the noise but nothing happens, when we press unlock, there is no noise and nothing happens. i checked all the fuses, and nothing is wrong, i checked all the connections and they were fine. i don't know what is wrong with it, please help us try and fix this b/c the dealer will charge out the butt for it to get fixed, plus labor, and i know that this isn't that big of a problem. thanks for y'alls help!!!!

 

Pull the door apart and check to see if the unlock solenoid rod is still attached.

 

and also make sure the rods for the door lock are not crossed. that will cause the door not to unlock or lock properly.
