1995 mits. Expo. Sat. morn below zero here, would not start ended up flooded put new plugs in, wife took it to work 3 miles away and would not restart with the key but it will with remote start button. I put new battery in at her work (old one 6 yrs old) well long story short, I took it for test drive and it died on me would not restart like batt. dead. got a good charge on it. will not start with key, but will with remote still. But even that way it does not turn over very long just a short burst, may start may not. when it does I give it gas and hold about 3000 rpm and it will die. let it set awhile and same thing all over again. puzzled especially about remote start only like as long as key is bypassed it will start. any thoughts? THANKS

 

you said it started right after a new battery was put in but then died. Could be an alternator.

 

Sounds like the alternator is on its way out it dead, and you ignition needs to be replaced, Try fixing them both.

 

wont start at all. turns over fine. pulled plug out no spark I'm hoping I have good ground on plug to check for spark. Is there any other place to check for spark? If I have no spark where do I start? THANKS
