Hi all... I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante.

We have had to hot wire the car to start it as Miss 2yrs lost the keys...

Well that went fine but now the car won't move from Park... we have looked all around for a release button of some sort but to no avail...

Any help to get this car moving would be greatly appreciated

 

The shifter locks in place when the key is in the off position. There are two cables on the side of the shifter . #1 is the key lock cable and below that is another cable to lock the shifter in park. You will have to remove the console to get at these cables....
