I have a 2001 Mirage...and my wife left the lights on, of course the battery died. I jumped it, drove it to charge it, but now the factory radio & CD player won't work. You can push the on button & it says off on the display, but no sound. When a CD is inserted, it will eject when the eject button is pushed, but will not play. I checked the fuses, and they are fine. Also, there is no clock display either.

This is my first post, so can you come to my rescue?

 

the radio has an anti-theft lockout mode.
Go to the dealer with the car, and proof of ownership. They'll then give you the radio unlock code.
Enter that code using the numbered preset buttons and the radio will unlock.
It goes into theft mode whenever taken out, or left without battery power for an hour or more.
