when i put my foot on the accelerator the car makes a noise like a wheelbearing, possibly coming from the back, but when its out of gear and rolling it doesnt make the same noise, and at the back the smell is like dirty oil, car recently had a reconditioned gear box and clutch. Mitsubishi shogun pinin warrior 04, 2l. any help would be appreciated.
OK i found out today whats wrong with my car, the guy who owned it before had a propshaft and secondhand gearbox fitted but it hasnt been fitted correctly, bodged basically, now the gearbox is leaking oil all over the exhaust and im looking at 2000.00 pound to repair, so looks like my mitsubishi is either going to be repaired by the garage i bought it from or i'll be swapping it for a minicooper....thanks everyone for not replying, i thought this was supposed to be mitsubishi's forum with people who can help, but no one so far has even tried to help me, so looks like im in this alone, and probably wont be posting on here again......
