Hey i have a 2004 lancer ralliart. 160,000km, timing belt,pumps and stuff recently done.Engine Oil is good but i have to get a change soon. Car is standard drive.

I was driving home today and the car was fine. But right before i got home I stopped on a left turn signal and was about to go and the car seemed to lose power and the yellow engine light came on and stayed on.Also most of the dome lights turned off as if the car was off. Limbo Mode? The car did not turn off and i drove it to my driveway which was not far but i didn't even bother going into second gear because the car had no power and i was sort of coasting in first.

I turned the car on again after about 10 minutes and the yellow CEL is still on but the car was back to normal and drove normal. Any idea what the problem might be? Im going to head over to the mechanics tomorrow but I might have to drive pretty far to get to school first... Could the cold weather im getting in toronto be the problem?
