Shaking 03 Montero
I have an 03 Montero Limited and this problem has stumped my husband and father-in-law.
Recently while driving down the road my Montero has began to shake violently. At first I thought maybe I had a bad tire about ready to go. All the tires are fine. Then we thought maybe the rotors were bad. They did need replaced and shortly after my vehicle got new rotors. The shaking has persisted. I also have to note that the shaking does not start immediatley and starts a few minutes down the road and will then stop maybe a few miles later. If I stop the cycle starts again. It'll shake, then quit sometime after. When we get out of the vehicle there is a very bad smell. It's coming from the rear end of the vehicle. It's like a burning smell. My husband and father-in-law have worked on my Montero and can't find why it's doing this. I'm beginning to dread going anywhere.
Would anyone have an idea of what might be going on? I'm at a loss.
