Silent stereo....?
I have A 94 Eclipse, with an aftermarket stereo (kenwood) which I installed myself, and I have no sound.
About five years ago I put a Clairion deck in there, and last week it stopped putting out sound, all the raido functions still work thats why I installed the kenwood. Is there a stock amp hidden some where?? or what else could cause this problem?? Please help, I'm not looking forward to running new speaker wires.[&:]

I would pull your wood head back out (lol...head...wood) and hook a speaker directly to the back of the wires coming out of the unit and see if you get any sound. You could even take the clarion you have out to your batt and hook up the ground first to the neg side then your red and yellow to the positive with a speker hooked up to it. You probably dont have a factory amp since most cars with a factory amp have to be by-passed when installing a new head unit. Otherwise you get no sound or blow the factory amp because your sending power...not signal...to the amp. You might have some block that all your speaker wire runs through that has gone bad.
