Default Sporttronic or M/T (Help needed)

All right.. I'm new to this forum, since I haven't even bought my ride yet...

I'm looking at the 2008 lancer gts, and was wonderring which is quicker[/u], and more efficient, CVT w/ manual mode, or manual stick..

Thanks

how about the color: electric blue or metalic grey (charcoal)

its really all preference. The sportronic is gonna be able to shift alot faster than any manual would. But if your like me and enjoy using a clutch, and driving manual then its worth it. But it really depends on what your comfortable with. I would think more efficient usually goes to the manual, but of course that all depends on how its drivin. If you drive it hard then you get less mileage. So its really up to you.

If you look only at the gear ratios, the manual should be faster, however, theSportronic has closer ratios. I don't think that it's enough to compensate though...

Simply put, a manual requires that its driver be good at shifting... to race with... the Sporty is more kiddie aimed.

ORIGINAL: Sebba

a CVT is NOT efficient.
actually, they're pretty much the most efficient trans currently offered, as it is the only trans on the market that can keep an engine at its power peak 100 percent of the time.
they are always faster than a normal auto.
