Timing Question
I am currently finishing an hoverhaul and have a question about the timing. The book tells you to set the crank at half a tooth counter clockwise. Is this so that you will end up with all of the timing marks matching when the belt is tightened or should the crank still be half a tooth counter clockwise of tdc??
have the #1 piston at tdc. crankshaft at 1/2 tooth retarded. once the pin is pulled from tensioner everything will b lined up. turn the crank manually and listen for any ticks or clicks. check ur timing multiple times!! dont wanna mess up a motor even tho 1 tooth wont kill. just will run this ****
