Transmission problem, automatic has no reverse or OD
I have a 1999 eclipse spyder, 2.4L with an automatic transmission. Tranny is an F4A23
the tranny gave out recently and if I drive with the ODon then I have no reverse and when it gets to OD, it slips into neutral instead.
If I drive with OD off, then I just have no reverse.
Another symptom is that it shifts very hard into 2nd... but not bad at all into 3rd.
I did pull it and rebuild it recently and it has the exact same problem.... I obvioulsy overlooked something.
I plan to pull it again (what fun) and go through it once more.
I am hoping that I might get some good advice, from someone that has dealt with this already, on what to look for.
