Default Water Woes with my Eclipse.

I have a 2007 GS with the sunroof option. The roof itself has never leaked or failed, yet whenever it rains heavily, water leaks in at the roofs' control switch and even through those plastic air bag covers!! Mitsubishi installed new drip rails last summer and all was good for a few months. Then last fall it started to leak again(worse than before) but the weather was becoming freezing outside so I opted to wait for the thaw to deal with this. We had a lot of rain on the weekend and guess what? Leaking badly again. Ultimately I know this is the dealer's problem to fix..I just was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?

pretty sure there's a tech service bullitin, tell the dealer to get with it

since they've already tried once, tell them to order the parts first so they can fix it in one visit

TSB−07−42A−007REV

PURPOSE

Water leakage may occur due to water getting past the sunroof glass seal. Leakage may be reported from
the sunroof switch, or at the SRS logo covers on the ’A’ pillar trim, however, dealers may find it difficult
to recreate the condition. Follow the procedure below to add sunroof lid guide covers to repair this condition
when a leak from this area is suspected.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

2006−07 Eclipse equipped with sunroof produced before approximately April 20, 2007.

PARTS INFORMATION

Sunroof Lid Guide, LH 5850A149
Sunroof Lid Guide, RH 5850A150
