Opinions: 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse
ok, great! Well, I talked to my bro in law, the mitsu mechanic and he basically told me the same thing. But I found a couple of things out from him, just thought I'd post on here so people who have this problem... it just might help.
He said he'd swear by the 3.0 Engine... said it was very good
Also, he said that the manufacturers of the plugs in the 01 and 02 changed in mid-production which could be the cause. The software was rated for the origionals, but the spark plug manufacturer didn't let mitsu know about the change, so some of the cars are just using the wrong software. The plugs are running colder so the engine sees it as a misfire although there was no misfire.
Anywho, like I said, this car is for my fiance... there will be NO mods other than a little bump bump... can't have her in a nicer ride than me!

Brake rotors are known to warp easy
Sunroofs hardly ever work properly
Keyless entry\ factory alarm hardly work properly
Sometimes the blinkers wire harness get brittle and front blinkers stop working
GT models have a tendancy to lose the pins that hold the intake snokel down which make the car bog and have a lack of air at hi RPMs
all 3Gs have weak dash boards and are almost a garentee to crack up on the top near the windsheild
the stock speaker in the clock pod is useless and will likely be blown out since they go very easy
If I can think of any other things from my 3G past I will let you know. (I have had both a 00 GS and a 02 GT spyder)
