I own a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT Automatic. Whenever I put the car in reverse, the Automatic Tranmission Fuse blows. It has also blown when changing from Overdrive to Park. Once this happens, all power to the tranny is lost and Im basically stuck without overdrive. Also, when I put the car in reverse, the "Back-Up Light" fuse blows. Is there some kind of connection here? I just had a new tranny put in about 9 months ago, so I doubt it's a problem with the transmission itself. Im thinking it may be electrical. Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening or what I need to do to fix this?

 

something electrical....check w/ the dealer or tranny shop.

 

just go to a electrical ato shop and have it checked out. it will save ou itme and money and it will pin point you to the problem so it wont ha]ppen agin
