Hey everyone. First post in this group. I’m from perth, WA and have a automatic 11/2012 Outlander with 2.2Di-D
The Intercooler cold side hose was broken for some time (I didn’t realise). The “DPF service required” light came on in the last week. I have replaced the hose and have ran 2 bottles off in tank cleaner additive but the light is still on. I went away camping during the week so the car has had several hundred k’s country driving and then this evening I took it for a long run down the freeway with the engine Revving at 3000rpm to try and burn off but the light is still on.
What do I do next? Can anyone please offer advice?
have I damaged the dpf With excessive heat? ’m anxious at the thought of having to replace it.
