Hi,

I was recently poking around my `09 Lancer GTS and yanked out the small compartment just in front of the shifter (between that and the h.brake). Its the rectangular slot that fits my phone perfectly while driving. The cupped area that can be removed has two wires connected to each end. It actually isn't connected to anything in particular, it seems as if its just held there as a sort of placeholder for whatever its really supposed to connect to.

I was wondering if anyone knew what those two wires are actually used for. I tried searching around but failed to find anything about it.
