california emissions?
i have recently bought a 1992 3000 gt vr4. it came from california. i live in illinois. i was told there was a simple vaccum line switch that will help the performance greatly. a line on the fire wall that i switch from the right side to the left. any buddy got this???????????
I have heard that an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) delete will gain power and also help decrease carbon buildup presented from exhaust gases being recirculated into the intake system, giving a lower combustion temperature. You get rid of that and only clean air, fuel and spark will calculate a bigger, hotter blast in your cylinders.
i cant take this as a fact, though Ive heard of many people doing this, I would not recommend messing with the motor in ways it was not meant to be modified unprofessionally. You wanna safely notice a difference, upgrade your exhaust, but definitely try to keep the active aero system intact.
