Default Dead Battery

I have a 1997 GT3000 that I installed an after market radio in. Worked great for several months and than it would not shut off when ignition was turned off. I would manually turn the radio off but the battery will die after two days of no use. If I use everyday no problem the drain is not enough to kill the battery. I don't know if the radio is the cause of the dead battery or that is a symptom of something else that is wrong. No other interior lights or electronics seem to be on??
