suspension
my 92 gt has the suspension that you can switch from touring to sport. i think one of my sensors are bad or something because it just flashes most of the time. On random occasions it will work, usually after the car has been turned off or jolted really hard in some way, i.e. hard braking, sharp turning. This happen to anyone else? if so let me know, cause the flashing is annoying as all.
I do not have that set up ,but I have heard some talk about the computer that runs that stuff its in the rear on the passenger side behind a plastic pannel if you thke the spare out and then remove the tray that is next to the tire it is behind the little door on the side. It is called the ECS electronic controled suspencion. Hope this helps. Over at www.dodgeforum.com look down the list to Blast From The Past under Stealth you will find some more info on this. The Stealth is the same car just a diffrent name and has the dodge air dams and interior which is not as nice as the Mitsubishi 3000gt but both were built on the same assy line.
The strut caps on top of the strut tower has wires that run from an electrical connector outside- the plugs into the ECS strut beneath the cap. These wires have a tendency to break causing an open in the circuit. This occurs because the wires has to rotate with the strut when the wheels are turned left or right. This movement (as well as age) will eventually wear down the wires . Pop the cap open (by removing the bolts) and inspect the wires beneath it closely looking for a broken wire. Chances are you'll find one! If not, you should still do a continuity check with a DVOM as the wire can still break inside it's insulation. This might be your case and can explain why it works "sometimes". Good LUck!!
