A/C had been working great, but then a clicking started under the dash when I started the car or made an adjustment to A/C temp. After about a week I still have the clicking, but A/C is blowing hot air. Trying to find cause and part failure and have seen terms like "vent control valve", "vacuum control valve", "high and low pressure switch". Looking for help with solution to problem and correct terminology.

I should also add that I an issue with catalytic converter and it ran hot until it was replaced. A lot of that heat made it to the interior and center console. (I understand there may be some thermally sensitive parts under dash).

the clicking is the a/c relay you need to clean your battery cables and make sure the ground wire on the compressor in clean and tight
