Could be a couple things are the heater hoses getting hot? Maybe somethings clogged or the waterpump not functioning properly.

How did the coolant look when you changed the thermostat?

My 93 Diamante seems it is not getting as hot as it should, though when its on floor and face blowing, its very weak blowing going on, when switched to face or floor only it goes fullblast and I can feel the heat good. Always seemed to be this way though, my antifreeze is good looking aswell. Maybe this was just a characteristic of the 93?

Another thing I noticed in my 93, when the heat is on HOT in the red zone on the dial it blowing, but not hard, and when i turn it down to 77 or so the blower kicks in high speed all the sudden, kinda weird, why would the heat even have anything to do with the fan speed?

Could be a trait for the 93's
