Well you said it. Replacing the fluid did NOT remove the failsafe mode. I also did find coolant on top of the TCU. As I stated in my previous post, I pulled the plastic sheets up from the TCU and didnt notice any dried or wet coolant on the TCU itself.

Is there anyway to maybe reset the TCU? or what about getting it diagnosed?

EDIT - Anyone know where the A/T relay is located?

replace the AT relay... Its soaked with coolant and ruined.
replacing the fluid will fix nothing. replacing the fluid is for maintenance only, to prolong the mechanical parts.

then fix your coolant leak.

if you were looking at the TCM from the passenger side, you were looking right at it.

yep, found it. To the right of the TCM. E8T101 2218. I found it soaked with coolant! I dried the connector and the relay itself and my transmission is still in fail safe. I also unplugged the relay with the car running and nothing changed, so chances are I really just need to replace the relay.

easier said than done. I called the big 4 in my area, NAPA, autozone, advanced and the junkyard. None of them have it. I still want to hold back on calling the dealer for a bit. I checked online, nothing.

You guys are my last hope before calling the dealership. Does anybody know where I can find a TCM relay

OK guys, I managed to get rid of the fail safe mode. pretty much by letting the relay and connector dry overnight. I'm back in business. Thanks for all the help guys!
