Default ‘05 Endeavor Battery Drain from A/C?

One morning battery was dead so I jumped it, drove around fine then next day same thing. Long story short I found I have parasitic drain associated with 10A fuse in engine fuse panel under the hood. It goes to the A/C compressor clutch. When I pull the fuse and leave it out overnight I have no issue starting up the next morning. When I began troubleshooting I also observed my Daytime Running Lights (DRL) would sometimes not go out after I turned the car off, removed the key, and exited the car. They would stay on and not time out. However when I pulled the 10A fuse for the compressor, the DRL would immediately go out. Somehow they are related but need some help. Has anyone seen this before? I read somewhere that this may be related to a relay going bad. If that is the case, where is the relay for the A/C compressor? Can’t find in service manual or information online. Any help would be appreciated!

So I bought a service manual for $10 on eBay and found out where the A/C compressor clutch relay was and changed it out. Cost $12 at Auto zone. Kept the 10A fuse in last night related to the relay and no draining of battery overnight. Also the running lights now do not stay after turning the car off. Never did figure that part out. Well there you have it Opa!

been having the same issue for a month could find the drain until today. Lost drain when pulled a/c fuse. Put fuse back in and still no drain. So whatever is pulling a draw from battery shuts down when fuse is pulled. Where was that relay you change? Thanks this post was a huge help, thanks for returning and posting your fix

OMG, this is the same thing we have been dealing with on our 2005 Endeavor, thank you for posting about this! Our battery drain and DRL staying on have been driving us bonkers!
Please do reply with where the relay is, or what search term you used for the manual that showed it to you, thanks!

Never mind, found it! Same place in the relay box as this Lancer diagram, see below if anyone needs a visual. If you find the relay box, right in front of the engine, the skinny rectangular part of that box is where the relays are, it's marked A/C.
