Default Won't start in (P)
Does anybody know and can explain how the ignition is connected to the shifter and what to check? my car won't budge in the Park position, so I have to move it into Neutral and then no problem....

There is a neutral safety switch that kills the starter if it's not in P or N.. The linkage might be off slightly not pressing the switch or the switch could have gone bad.

and that switch would be right by the shifter in the center console I suppose ? I will dig into that...
