recently got an evo 7 with 35000km on it. was fine until i was installing an amp&sub, when i went to put the sub power cable thru the firewall [using a drill to get through the spare space on the rubber bung Embarrassed ]something shorted & blew the 20amp engine fuse. i replaced this, which made the car start again, but now i get a bad misfiring @ 6000+rpm. drives normally in lower revs. mitsi motors in newmarket reckon that there could be damage to the ECU. any ideas? is this just a coincidence?

 

change your plugs and wires to start with and rule the easy stuff out
