I just bought a 1996 Galant with 106k on it. The car sat for 10 months with a bad harmonic balancer. I put a new one on and she cranked up after a jump start. Everything sounded fine ,ran good. It needed three window regs which I put in . In that process the battery ran down and had to jumped again. I drove the car a few miles then the problem started. When I was coming to a stop the car had a low idle which vibrates the car to a point it wants to cut off. We put a new battery in . Now I am getting a belt noise that I can't pin point. Not tied to the compressor. It will run fine no sound and do the low idle when coming to a stop but not both at the same time. I need help with this anyone have similar problems?

 

I left out that you feel a strange feeling down shift as you come to a stop when it is going to do the low idle thing.
