Default Advice on Vibration Please

I have a 97 automatic Galant with 92,000miles. For a while now when stopped and at idle there is a mild vibration of the vehicle. I suspect motor mounts but I wonder why the vibration stops when in neutral? I am bringing it to the dealer for changing of the MM but could it be something else that my reseach has not turned up? One note : the AC fried and is not connected to the pully.

Rick: Did you ever figure out what was causing the vibration problem with your Mitsubishi Galant? I'm having the same problem (a 1998) and if you could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

you guys are not alone,my car does the same thing. i'm not sure if it is a problem realy... the tork converter just seams to build up pressure when the vehical is in gear and the brakes are keeping it from moving. i've started manualy shifting the car to neutral at stoplights and drivethroughs or anywhere i'll be sitting for a while. there is another post for this and someone there took his galant to a mechanic who ripped him offanddidnt solve the problem.
