Brake lights stay on. What's up?

Default Brake lights stay on. What's up?

My 96' Galants brake light stay on even when the car is off. The emergency brake is not engaged. what could this be?

Hey, it's a little rubber pad that sits on the brake pedal switch. It deteriated. If the pad is gone, it dosn't push the switch all the way in.

i suspect to your brake switch, try check it out.

Disconnect the connector leading to the brake switch. If the brakes lights turn off, you have a bad or misadjusted switch.
