I think the **** for the temperature control is broken. How do I get it off to find out? I turn it and it jumps back by itself.

 

Pull off the bezel around the radio/HVAC/cubby hole, then pull out the radio. You should now be able to see behind the HVAC panel. The heater dials are connected to cables - check to see if the cables are binding/catching anywhere.

 

You more than likely have a bent control cable. If you look under the drivers dash while manipulating the temperature control ****, you may be able to see where the hang up is. Good Luck!
