Default strange idle problems

Hi all
i`m an aussie bloke living in denmark and i have a couple of problems which may or maynot be related .

my car is a 91 galant 2,0 efi sohc .

1) when cold the car starts and runs at 1500 rpm then slowly drops down to 900rpm if not driven, this seems fine .However if i start the car cold and try to drive off then push the clutch in the revs drop right down to around 500. then a couple of seconds later increase again to 1500 rpm .this is a pain in the ar## as there are 6 stoplights between home and the kids school.
the guy at the wreakers wants 100 notes for a throttle body with tps, ics and mps still attatached .I pulled the ics (stepper motor) out today the worm gear spins ok when the key is turned to on so i don`t think its that . any ideas ?

2) with motor warm the use of accessories cause the car to idle down from 900rpm to about 700 rpm ,what causes this ? ive just replaced the alternator but thishas not helped .

could these problems be related what do you think .
thanks a bunch Shaun

Anytime you disconect the battery it resets the computer and it no longer adjust for the carbon biuld up on the Throttle Body. Start by cleaning the Throttle Body.
