Exclamation 2001 Lancer Tranny Kit or Replacement?

I have a 2001 Mit. Lancer, Automatic, Right Hand Drive, Front Wheel Drive, GDI engine. The Transmission seems like its gone. Starting making usual sounds a while back, now the car doesn't move in any gear [car still starts, now without any usual sounds]

My question is this:
I have been told that a Transmission Kit doesn't exist for my car.... I would have to replace the complete transmission with a new or used one.... it this true??

Follow up question:
If there is a Transmission Kit would it be recommended to try and repair it with the Kit or replace the Transmission altogether [whether new or used]

Basic novice here.... so if my questions seem out of whack bare with me...... Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thankz
