Db, I'm in the same boat as you, I've done a bit to my car, all cheap crap. Looks very nice.

 

My advice was accurate.

 

Definitely, My car looks so ugly and bad looking that I have people compliment me for how great it everywhere I go. I'm so glad you are accurate with everything you say.


bdmaxima, a few other things to maybe do, rims, side markers, headlights and tail lights. Definitely get HIDs if you can.

Not with this kinda of car. Most people who get a "sports" car like this do it for looks and performance. Now the Lancer is not a Sports car but most people who have bought a Lancer bought one because they like the Evo and couldn't afford one. With that being said most people who fit into that category are going to want to mod it in one way or another.

If you bought your lancer because its a good family vehicle and have no plans for it or no future plans of an Evo or Rallyart you are in a special category. And I could sell my car for more because of what I have done to it... and if I ever decided to trade it in 100% of everything I've done can be reversed back to factory, I have not done anything that cannot be undone.

And have you heard of 9glancers or projectlancer.net? Only several hundred people on those website that fit into the normal people category that bought a lancer.

every forum has this issue so i'm not worried bout it. cause i did this to a few other guys as well but basically its all up to the owner what they want to do to it. to some its horrible lookin to some its nice and clean. but ya alpha just doing the led domes/license plate/reverse lights....and is it me or are these lancer factory hids garbage.....??

 

Mine didn't come with HIDs. Maybe they change them up for Canada. But aftermarket ones can look a ton better and put off more light.

 

i got a quick question. I really want an evo but i want to tune a car from scratch i don't wanna buy a car thats turbocharged already i kno i could supercharge and watever but i really wanna start from scratch. if i turbocharged a 2.4 l gts would it match the evo or be faster than the turbocharged 2.0 l engine of the evo x?

I know that it'll prolly sound stupid 2 sum of u but i'm not as educated about cars as some of u r which is y i'm askin u guys.

 

You should check out projectlancer.net one of the guys over there turbocharged his 2.4 GTS and I think it ran about 230hp to the wheels.

Also remember that our Lancers are only 2 wheel drive. and evo is AWD.
