EVO X Clutch Problems

Mitsubishi EVO X 2010 Cutch Problems
Hey, I would like to know if any body had problems with Cutch in Manual Transmition EVO X 2010.
We recently purchased an EVO X 2010 brand new. We noted since first day that this smelled like cutch burned out. They said at Dealership that this is normal because car is brand new. Every single day that we drove this car, this smelled same or even worst. We were driving very carefully waiting for at least 5K miles to start making some fast drives.
Anyway, today the car is in the Dealership Service because the Cutch is totally damaged, this started to accelerate itself going from 2K to 5 or 6K revolution after every shift. They said at the dealership that this is not cover by warranty because we may damaged the cutch driving improperly.
The car is just 2,800 miles, we drove this like "angels", we had all life Manual Transmision Cars and now they said that we damaged the Cutch.
We are super upset with this situation and we started to believe that EVO X is not the Super car that we suppostly thinks was. This car looks to me that should be ready to raise and get crazy every where, but apparently not.
Does any body has problems with EVO X 2010 Manual Transmition Cutch?

evo x clutch problem
I am just experiencing the same problem. I have been driving manual for 30 year now and this is the first time I have to deal with this clutch issue. Just over 20,000 km on my new Evo X and they tell me the clutch pressure plate, disc and flywheel require replacement. I am just baffled. I do not drive my vehicle hard and no members of my family nor friends have touch my car. What an I going to do about this? I have to get it fixed and perhaps I do have to relook at the way I drive....perhaps it takes extra savy to drive a high performance vehicle over any other Japanese make. Again, 30 years of driving a non-high performance vehicle and in most cases, over 150,000 kms and no clutch issues....till now. If there is an issue with the design of this clutch system for this high performane vehicle, should I be looking at getting an after market system that may have a better wear and tear value? Perhaps somebody can give me some advice because I do not want to be going through this ordeal again. Your feed back is appreciated.

2010 EVO, 1600 miles, 27 days old, Clutch Failure
I got the same story when my 2010 EVO clutch burned out after 1600 miles. The Service Writer kept repeating how the clutch was SUPPOSED to burn out to protect the transmission. A quick glance at the pressure plate on this 280HP performance car revealed the lightest, weeniest cluch I have EVER SEEN on anything short of a 4-cyl.
I'd be interested in grouping for a class-action. Email me direct or post here.
Aloha,
Alan

Same story....4,500 miles on a 2011 GSR. Clutch slips 700-800 RPM in any gear when I stand on it at about 3k RPM then catches. Dude at the dealership held the labor cost of dismantling the drivetrain to look at the clutch over my head saying that if it wasn't covered by the warranty, I'd be on the hook for that AND the reassembly....also said not one clutch that has been brought in has been covered. Even though it nukes the drivetrain warranty, I'm seriously considering an aftermarket clutch to never have this problem again.
Anyone found a dealer remedy to this?
