Default Sportronic shifting Help please

Ok, heres the deal, I just wanted to know more about when to shift and what to do when slowing down. Ithink thatI should upshift around 2900 to 3000 rpms but when and what speeds should I downshift? It doesn't state in the owners manual. Basically I need insructions on how to use the manual mode, I'm not trianed in driving a manual but I would like to learn how to drive myCVT transmissionGTS in manual mode. Thank you for all your time and help.

When ever you want dude. Just make sure that when you downshift you arent downshifting at like 5-6k or you will over rev and kill something.

It all depends how agressive you want to be. If your racing, shift at redline... just make sure that on the downshifts you arent going to over rev.. and you will be fine.

Yea, it all depends on the driver. Like Sebba said don't down**** at high RPM's you will eventually regret it, and it will Over-rev. Also, on Sporttronic it will downshift automatically when speed is reduced unless you do it manually. But you have to be slowing down close to a complete halt. Experiment with the shifting that's what i did, get the feel for what works for you. Also while doing this make sure you can hear the motor, this is a basic observation when shifting, and it's very important. If the motors doesn't like it, it will let you know first by sound.
