Ok so I got the new parts in and replaced the cable and the two gears as per everything I have found online. The cable and the **** are still not moving smoothly as the vent control ****. Is this normal? I can look as I am turning the **** and the two gears seem to bow out as if they are going to pop off the HVAC. Is this normal? I put a ton of grease on the teeth of the gears. Could I have the two gears tightened down to tight?

Any insight, suggestions, help, or advice as always is greatly appreciated.
