93 5 speed mirage died and wont start

93 5 speed mirage died and wont start
Im new to this forum, and was wondering if anyone could help me find the reason my car just completely quit starting all together...
I was going to wal mart one night got down to the main entrence and my car decides to die... ive had a mechanic look at it but i think he is wrong when he tells me its either the fuel injectors or the spark plugs... when i try to start her now all i get is my radio deck to come on and a straight smell of unburned gas out of thetail pipe....
if anyone has ever happened id LOVE to know so i will know what i need to do to get her running again...
