03 montero sport body vibration from 40-55 mph
i changed the driveshaft support mount as shown in the pic today and didn’t fix my vibration. i’m kind of giving up on it because sometimes it seems like it’s gone then sometimes it’s back. don’t really know what it could be at this point. only weird thing i noticed today was i was pushing up on the front part of the driveshaft kinda by the yoke and i could tell the trans was moving up and down a good bit. idk if they are supposed to be completely solid mounted? mine definitely is not if so. @MikeE75

Do you guys think it could possibly be a rear wheel bearing? i cannot feel the vibration in my driver seat but i can feel it in my passenger seat. at first i figured it was not the wheel bearing since the noise goes away at 55 and it hasnt gotten worse in the last couple of years. I’m not sure if wheel bearing noise can go away at higher speeds, i did not think so. I always thought it got worse the faster you go. anyways, how would i change them anyways? i’ve never changed wheel bearings with drum brakes. do i just take the drum off? anyways, thankful for answers and curious to see if anyone thinks it’s rear wheel bearings. @MikeE75 @Naeos_Valkarian
