Smells like oil burning but seems to be more prominent when running at idle...stops and parking ... the truck has 191,000 and has been very well cared for...any tips or advice?

 

Could be as simple as carbon upped piston rings. My father use to use a additive that would break it up. I forget what it was called at this moment, but I had a honda civic that smoked and I put it in and it worked.

Any tips or tricks I should know before tearing it down? I have been told there is a special tool needed to simplify the job...what exactly is it? Where do I find one? Thanks
