2001 Montero Sport - Rear Brake Question
Hi All,
I need to replace the rear brake pads on a 2001 Montero sport.
Is a special tool needed to compress the calipers?
I have a tool that compresses the pistons that I used on the front,
does the rear work the same way?
I only ask because I used to have a car that needed the rear caliper
pistons to be "screwed" back in. I needed a special tool that fit on a socket
for that.
Just wanted to make sure I had the tool before I took the brakes apart.
Thanks,
George

If it is the same as my 02 full size then all you REALLY need is a C-clamp and your used brake pad for a flat surface. Same as front.
