2002 Montero LS rear brake pad wire clips

I recently attempted to change the brakes on my Montero. I need help figuring out how to put the wire clips back in correctly to hold the pads in place. I did not memorize how they were set when I took them out, now I don't know how they go back on! Anyone have a diagram or something? Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There should be instructions w/ the brake pads.
