Default 2003 Montero LTD - need more power

I have an '03 Montero LTD which I love, with the exception of the power. I know, a common complaint. It's not bad with normal driving, but towing a 4500lb boat, and it strains on uphills. Does anyone have any ideas on any performance intakes, chips, or exhausts that have worked? I can not find anything online in terms of exhausts and intakes (besides the usual K&N filter which I already have). The only chip I can find is by horsepowerchips.com, which I don't know much about. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Nothing is available. HKS makes an exhaust.

I'm planning to make a custom cold air intake. From my many other cars i've modified, drop in filters like the KN starts to become a placebo

theres nothing you can do.

dont bother using aftermarket crap like intakes and exhausts... you wont gain anything noticeable except noise and a lighter wallet.

don't they still race these things out in Africa off road? Frustrating that there's nothing available, even across the ocean where they're still made. with only 215hp out of a V6, you'd think there'd always be something you could do.

if you want a race truck, you're gonna need to pony up some REAL cash.
Also, you're running a truck.. the engine has 250 ft/lbs of torque. Not bad for a 3.8 liter.

they rally the turbo diesel Pajero not the anemic NA Montero (but the Montero has power enough to pull itself out of some dicey situations with its awesome complex 4WD system)
