I have observed a coolant leak at the front of the engine. Facing the timingbelt/water pump area it would be down and to the left. Coolant is leaking out of a hole between a plate that seems to be associated with the oil pump and another assembly below and to the left of the water pump. I don't think it's coming out of the water pump weep hole unless they channeled it to come out of another area below the water pump. It leaks when running and standing still after egine shut off. I loose about one quart per 10 miles. This is my first post I just signed up today. Any ideas on this would be a great help!

 

thats typical of the water pump. it weeps out the side, not directly from the front.


it certainly could be something else, but thats about the only thing under the timing cover that has coolant running to it.
